Appiah denies using the “F word” on K.P Boateng

Ghana coach, Kwesi Appiah says he didn't resort to using any vulgar language on Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The Schalke 04 midfielder was sent out of camp last Thursday on the grounds of using vulgar words aimed at the coach.

Boateng has since the incident pontificated widely that he never disrespected the coach. He claimed Appiah rather told him f*** off when he confronted him after a training ground bust-up.

Kwesi Appiah has also denied the claims by Boateng.

“I am surprised that he said that I used those words on him. Thing is as my player how would I just say an F word to him? Whatever he has done throughout our stay in camp all the players are aware,” Appiah told Allsports.com.gh

“Whatever he did everyone is aware. When you deal with players you ignore them sometimes because you need them to perform but when it gets beyond the line you have to stamp your authority and let him know you are in control and that he cannot do things the way he wants, disrespect you and look down on you as if you are nothing.”

Appiah however says Boateng still has a future with the team if he turns a new leaf.

But earlier today, Schalke 04’s general manager, Horst Heldt said the former AC Milan midfielder would never play for Ghana again.

Newly married, Captain Planet and Uche Ofodile, former Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Ghana, are planning a big wedding in December.

Captain Planet, born Jeff Sylvanus Dodji, and Uche tied the knot at a private ceremony last Friday in Osu, Accra.

The ceremony cemented a two-year-old relationship between the rapper, leader of music trio, 4x4, and the bubbly corporate executive.

Last Friday's private event which was strictly by invitation was attended by family, close friends and some celebrities. Some of the known figures at the event include Sandra Ankobiah, Zeal of VVIP, Benny Blanco, Fresh Prince of 4X4, and Ruddy Kwakye.

Captain Planet confirmed in an interview with Myjoyonline.com that, they are planning a big wedding in the US this December.

According to him, last Friday's wedding was only a teaser and they will be sealing it with a grand one in the US where Uche's parents live.

When Myjoyonline.com put the question to Uche, she smiled and said "no comment."

Why Sulley Slapped FA Official.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) in the early hours of Thursday, suspended Sulley Ali Muntari indefinitely from the Black Stars.

The decision was taken in the wake of his (Muntari) "unprovoked physical attack on an Executive Committee member of the GFA and a management member of the Black Stars, Mr. Moses Armah on Tuesday 24th June, 2014 during a meeting".

But what really led to Sulley being sacked?

He may have a history of insurbodination, but is it fair to suspend him without any action being taken against the FA official?

Peacefmonline.com has pieced together minute-by-minute report of what transpired sourced from Sports Ministry officials, GFA members and Black Stars playing body present during the altercation.

Below is what led to the brawl...

Sulley: WHAT IS THE USE OF SOO MANY G.F.A OFFICIALS & OTHERS HERE? You Are Basically Non-Essential and have no role or duties here. Your Number even dwarf that of the players... You receive Bonuses for no work done. You are a drain on the Govt.... You always make money on our back and you see every Tournament as a means to make money.... And You Have The Vim to question us why we want our money?

Moses Armah: Your money will come take time, the captain is speaking….

Sulley: Shut up, are you the one paying the money or you are the Prez?

Moses Armah: I won’t allow you to include me in your list of victims oo…..I'm a gangster more than you.

Sulley: So you can fight me eh (moving towards Moses’ direction disentangling himself from other guys retraining him).

Moses Armah: Am ready for you. You think i'm a coward?

Sulley: (picks a bottle and drop it, surprisingly jumps and slaps Moses) Fuck you!!

Moses: Returns the slap with a blow lifts a fork…and Jonathan Mensah holds Moses’ hand up.

Essien sits quietly, Gyan and Appiah speak Ga to Sulley, calming him down as Moses is whisked away by Saban Quaye

Akufo-Addo’s Ramadan Message To Muslims

I extend fraternal greetings to all Muslims in Ghana and across the world as they prepare to start the fast of Ramadan.

Ramadan is a period of intense devotion and reflection- a time when Muslims fast during the day and perform prayers at night, reciting and listening to the entire Qur’an over the course of the month. The rigours undertaken by devout Muslims inspire respect for Islam among people of all faiths and this can bring hope of greater understanding for good will.

“Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may ward off evil” so states the Qur’an. It is therefore my prayer that Muslims will use this holy month of Ramadan to pray for Allah to ward off the evils that plague our society and draw us back – corruption, nepotism, ethnicity, hate politics, poverty, ignorance and disease. Ramadan should unite us and instil in us fellow-feeling, so that we can create a society where Allah is truly our anchor against the storms of life.

Fasting is also a celebration of commitment and obedience to God and also of God’s mercy and provision for all of us. It is a time of family, community and charity. I therefore believe in the possibility of the overflow of old boundaries when wholehearted devotion to one’s own faith is matched with a devout respect for the faith of others and I call on all our Muslim brothers and sisters to demonstrate continually this sense of unity and oneness in the years ahead.

Once again, I wish you Allah’s guidance and peace as you observe this truly unique month of blessing. Salamu Alaikum!

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
